This is an example of
people being outraged over a person's opinion; where's the outrage over
people's actions. Why are people so angry, Dan Cathy has a right to speak his
mind, this is America. Isn't it? He did not say he would not serve members of
the LGBT community, so what's the problem? These same people that are fuming
over words are silent against Sandusky a man that took action and molested
children, and another man Paterno who remained silent in order to protect
football. FOOTBALL!! Really, these young boy’s lives will forever be altered
because of ACTION and in-Action; not words. These boys would be just fine if
Sandusky just spoke about molesting them instead of actually molesting them.
America’s economy is
falling apart and there aren’t any jobs, so we’ll start shutting down a
business that is adding jobs and paying taxes.
Really, do you care about the people that rely upon business from
Chick-fil-A? Think about the vendors
that supply the buns, lettuce, tomatoes, cups, spoons, plates, cheese,
soda...that’s a lot of people to put out of business based upon a
statement.
There is an analogy
between the LGBT community and the civil rights. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Blacks in America fought for the right to
LIVE, the right to be considered HUMAN; the right to be allowed the same
educational opportunities as everyone else; and the right to earn a living
commensurate with others performing the same duties.
Is the fight for Blacks
in America over? No! Emphatically, there is still blatant racism
in this country. Just look at this article
on a Black couple being denied the opportunity to marry at a white Baptist
church: <a href="http://thebeatdfw.com/2010406/race-matters-black-couple-denied-wedding-service-at-mississippi-church-smh/">
Are race relations in America better? Yes!
But, better does not mean wiped out.
